For the 2011 World Golf Championships campaign, 21Boom worked with PGA TOUR and Austin, TX based agency GSD&M to create a series of five animated spots.
The Championships, which include the Accenture Match Play Championship, Cadillac Championship, Bridgestone Invitational and HSBC Champions tournaments, run from February through November of 2011 and feature the top ranked players from around the world.
The spots were designed to call attention to the four tournaments with a world map theme that frames the action and intensity of the sport and underscores the global reach of the Championships at the same time. Additionally, the footage was given a faux jumbotron screen pattern that adds to the overall sense of scale and reiterates graphic elements used elsewhere in WGC branding.
