To promote the 2010 World Golf Championships, PGA Tour turned to 21Boom to develop its on-air advertising campaign. Five original live-action and animated graphic commercials were produced for the international tournament series, which includes the Accenture Match Play Championship, CA Championship, Bridgestone Invitational and HSBC Champions, and runs from February through November 2010.
Having produced the 2008 and 2009 campaigns previously, 21Boom’s creative team was well ahead of the game when it came to generating a consistent, compelling and on-brand message. By incorporating shared visual themes, the designers were able to seamlessly align PGA Tour’s existing print campaign with key players and graphic elements in the new spots, bringing them to life for a totally cohesive cross-platform promotion.
21Boom handled all aspects of the production, including creative direction, animation and editorial.
Upcoming tournaments are the Bridgestone Invitational, to be held at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio – August 3-8 and airing on Golf Channel and CBS. The HSBC Champions will be held at Sheshen International Golf Club in Shanghai, China – November 1-7.

The CLIO Awards is one of the most recognized global awards competitions for advertising, graphic design and interactive. The ceremony itself is held over two nights annually, with the first night being devoted to print and television awards and the second to interactive and innovative awards.
For the event, 21Boom was hired to create packaging graphics that would showcase the honorees’ work and help bring a measure of panache and energy to the necessary informational ID & credit content at the same time.
The package included logo animations, transitions, lower thirds and layouts for both horizontal and vertical monitors. 21Boom previously created graphics and packaging for the CLIO RX Awards.
21Boom worked with Running Man Post to design and produce a seven-minute video mashup for CBS’s 2010 Upfront presentation held at New York City’s Carnegie Hall.
The digital piece was designed specifically to work dynamically across an extra-large 70′ wide by 17′ tall main stage center screen and incorporate color themes from CBS’s upcoming on-air palette as well as footage from its 2010-2011 lineup. A combination of HD projection, scrim and LED curtains were used to expand the projection area on stage to 80′ by 38′.
The purpose of the mashup is to help energize the event with music and show clips, as well as to direct participants to their seats with a countdown before the official presentation gets underway.
21Boom utilized 3D animation and composited 2D graphics to provide the most impact for the cinema-sized presentation.
